International trip to philippine 26/2/2010 to 2/3/2010

Led by President Frankie Fu, our entourage of 22 members and family arrived at Clarks Airport on 26th Feb 2010. The group was welcome by President Albert Manuyag, PP Edwin Aguirre and the Vice Mayor of Clarks at the immigration, a special express lane was reserved for the RCKK group. Our group was immediately transferred to Dagupan city and was welcome with a sumptuous dinner hosted by RC Dagupan. After dinner followed by a short fellowship, the group retired early for an early start for our 3 hours trip to Baguio city at 4 in the morning. Upon arriving the Baguio city, the group was immediately refreshed by the cool air of Baguio at the height of 1,524 meters. The Panagbenga Street dancing was spectacular and lasted for a good 3 hours or so, after enjoying the street dancing, a special tour to the Philippines Military School at Baguio. Then we checked into the China Bank rest house specially arranged by PP Robert Kuan. After a short rest, another specially arranged tour to “The Mansion” – Philippines Presidential Summer Palace. After which we were treated to a dinner hosted by RC Metro Baguio and a Friendship was signed with exchanging of gifts and memento. A few members form RC Makati drove all the way from Manila to join us at the dinner. The next day, we were again treated to another spectacular Panagbenga Float Parade. After the 3 hours parade, followed by some quick shopping, the group was treated to yet another delicious lunch hosted by PP Robert Kuan at a boarding school. The lunch was followed by a short tour of the school and followed by more shopping.In the evening, a special “Chap Ngu Mei” BBQ dinner at the rest house was hosted by RC Dagupan, RC Makati and RC Baguio North. We were treated to the Ineng’s Special BBQ owned by Richard and Michelle Santiago of RC Makati and many food prepared by our host. The dinner and fellowship was followed by short speeches from various club presidents, and DG Rolando Villnueva. President Frankie presented gifts and memento to our hosts and the DG. The enjoyable evening continued with more fellowship.The next day, 1st March 2010, after bidding farewell to the members of RC Makati, we left city of Baguio for Hundred Islands. Arriving the 100 Island resort we were welcome by members of RC Hundred Islands with yet another sumptuous lunch.Arriving Dagupan from 100 Islands in the evening, after a quick shower, the group was treated a special dinner hosted by the Mayor of Dagupan City – Al Fernandez Jr. at his acqu farm. After the dinner and fellowship, President Albert Manuyag of RC Dagupan called the club meeting to order. After the usual formalities, President Frankie thanks our host, the Mayor, for a wonderful evening, and a special thanks to President Albert, PP Edwin and the members of RC Dagupan for the warm hostilities extended to us during our short stay.Our trip to Dagupan was ended with the official duty of handing over the joint toilet project financed by RC Diss, UK to the Barangay Council of Lasip Chico witnessed by the Mayor of Dagupan City. After the handing over ceremony, before our journey to Clarks for our flight back to KK, we were treated to a special farewell tea party hosted by the Barangay Council of Lasip Chico.I like to end this short report with a special appreciation to President Albert Manuyag, PP Edwin Aguirre, PE Marcelito Novales and members of RC Dagupan for your unmatched hospitalises and all the program arrangement, on behalf of our group – THANK YOU for accompanied us throughout the trip, from the moment we stepped off the plane to the very last moment before we left for home. PP Robert Kuan for spearheaded the whole trip and the accommodation arrangement at Baguio, Rtn Richard and Ann for the BBQ Dinner, Rtn Dayal and Rtn Joseph for sleeping in the driver’s quarter in order to have more fellowship with us and members of RC Makati for coming all the way from Manila to meet us. Appreciation also goes to RC Metro Baguio, RC Baguio North, RC Hundred Islands, the Mayor of Dagupan City and Barangay Council of Lasip Chico for all the delicious lunches and dinners
